Tomorrow is September?

This morning I woke up with what felt like an intense hangover despite the fact that I drank one beer at approximately 8 pm and slept for about 9 hours after that. Then I realized tomorrow was September 1st and that feeling only intensified. 

SEPTEMBER? I thought I'd have my life figured out by then. I thought I'd be ending my summer fling. I thought I'd be nominated for a Grammy. Alas, none of that happened. No Augustutions were written, mostly because last year's are still somehow hanging in there for another round. Not that this summer was a failure. It's just time for me to accept the fact that sometimes to-do lists take longer to complete than you plan for.

My roommate Becca works for an awesome company called {3 Cords} that was  founded "to train, employ, and empower Haitian amputee women and their families." {3 Cords} sells beautiful bags, hair cords, and other accessories for $5 to $35 that are handmade by women in Haiti. One of my favorite things about their products is that each one comes with a tag signed by the woman who made it.

Hi again. It's me. Back to apologize for taking what turned out to be a three week long break from the blogosphere. I've spent the past weeks doing some pretty fun stuff but mostly staring at my computer screen, drinking iced coffees, and praying for a job. It's hard to blog (or read or practice guitar or do anything, really) when I know what I should be doing is updating my resume and writing cover letters. But since we're being realistic, how long can a person be expected to apply for jobs without going absolutely bananas? B-A-N-A-N-A-S.
