Over the Weekend: Jan 27-29

This past weekend was what dreams are made of: sleeping, hanging out, shopping, dining out, and birthday-ing.

Friday was spent hanging out with my bestie & roomie, Kristin before going to bed at a modest 9:30 pm. On Saturday, my mom and I did a little bit of shopping and  that night, my friend Kelly celebrated her 24th birthday with dinner at The Pit and an impromptu dance party.  Sunday was spent doing a little bit of work and a lot of hanging out. After hanging out with Kristin, I went to Chapel Hill to see Kara and David who were in town all the way from Alabama for the UNC basketball game!

Last weekend...

Poptart is ecstatic to be 87!
Earlier today I realized that I'd forgotten to do an "Over the Weekend" post for last week. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but last weekend was a big deal! I went to a baby shower for Moriah, my first friend to have a baby, who is expecting a girl in April and celebrated my grandpa's, or Poptart as I like to call him,  87th birthday!

From a Student

At the end of the day, I noticed this little message on my board. Is it a compliment? The funniest part is that I don't even have a student named Ja'nae.

What I do know is I'll be emphasizing grammar this week!

A note from a sub

"Dear Ms. Hayes,
They don't pay you enough to do this job! :) Wow....I'll pray for you. You definitely need mental health days."

Back to Work

Despite starting work on Tuesday, it has been a long week. Thank goodness it's Friday and that there are no full work weeks for the entire month of January for the public school system! Yeah!

Such a fun New Year's Eve, maybe even the best one yet! And here's one of the reasons why:

A Week's Worth of Friends

These are just a few of the friendly faces I was able to see over the past two weeks at home and on a few adventures! These are some of the funniest, coolest people I know.

P.S. Amy, Allison and Kate- One of these pictures is just for you. :)
