Favorites

To get out if a clothing rut, I decided to wear all of my favorite things this week. It ended up being the perfect thing to do to survive the week of school before Christmas and not stress over what to wear. So here are my favorite things (sorry for the poor quality pics- my phone is still figuring out how to be a photographer):

The best Monday

This past Monday knocked all others out of the park, not that there was much competition. Meller, Danielle, and I met up that evening for dinner at Pop's and to see some crazy Christmas lights that were in sync with a radio station! Ridiculous. And Danielle gave me a hilarious Christmas gift-a Marcel the Shell book!

6 Party Tips for the Antisocial

Print, found via A Cup of Jo

1. Befriend any pets of the host, excluding rodents and snakes. (Or, even better, just don't hang out with people who keep rodents or snakes as pets.)
2. Pick a default and cling to him/her.
3. Ladies: Wear impressive heels and then stand/sit still at the party. Heels aren't cute if you can't walk in them.
4. Let people come to you- don't be that weirdo who lingers.
5. Watch people without them noticing. That way you can talk about the party on Monday and make it sound like you were actually involved in conversation.
6. Leave on a high note. Did you just tell a hilarious joke? Then get the hell out while you're on top!

Movies & Moms

Over the past week, I've had way too much time to think. I had minor surgery and stayed at my parents house to recuperate for a few days. The things a mind wanders to when stuck without internet, tv, or a phone...

As an avid list-maker, I spent most of the days making hypothetical lists in my head (after reading Harry Potter for approximately 5 hours). One list completely stumped me: What do I know about? Sure, I know a little about a lot of subjects but what do I actually know to the core?

After spending a few days with that lingering question, I was able to get Klout's take on my knowledge. According to the site, here's what I'm most knowledgeable and influential about in the cyber world:

Want to know the easiest way to win over 7th graders AND ensure that they don't pay attention to anything you need to tell them?

It's easy, just wear red pants to school.
