First Five Days

For the first week of teaching, I didn't have an official name tag and was stuck getting visitor passes each morning(...at 6:15 am). These are the pictures from my first five days. Can you see the exhaustion setting in as the week progressed?


Today marked the start of my third week and I can't even imagine how weatherbeaten I'd look in pictures if they were still being taken each morning.

First Day

You guys, I did it! I survived my first day of teaching. Whew! Now I'm off to bed...5 am will be here way too soon.

Awkward.

Awkward, in short:


- Going to a new job orientation today, only to watch 3 and a half hours of online videos and be dismissed


-Waving at a guy at Cup A Joe before realizing I didn't know him...and having to deal with his confused stare


- Crying (loudly) at the doctor's office


- Mishearing someone's question and pointing them to the bathroom instead of the vending machines


- Apologizing to my door after running into it


- Brushing my hair and finding multiple bobby pins


- My mom not answering my phone calls until her "show" (AKA "The Young and the Restless") has gone off


- A high school boy casually mentioning how ugly my shoes are


- Forgetting the way home and ending up in downtown Raleigh

Over the weekend...

 This weekend was bursting at the seams with commitment:

Danielle and Logan tied the knot! 

And Kelly and Ryan got engaged!
