Five Things I Wish Existed.

Homemade treats given to me earlier this fall!

• Howlers, the screaming cards that parents send to their children at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series.
• Legal pills that provide warmth during the winter months.
• Money trees where money, you know, could grow from branches.
• A reliable weather system that takes requests because some days, I just want it to rain.
• The ability to wake up the first time my alarm goes off each morning.

Tomorrow is a metaphorical Thursday! I'm going wild and staying up 30 minutes past my bedtime to celebrate the beauty of short workweeks.

A dream came true this weekend: I finally got to go to the mountains! Most of it was spent inside with a cup of hot tea grading essays written by seventh graders about the Titanic (or Titianik, as many of them chose to spell it) and reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. 


It also involved a game of Scrabble out on the balcony where I ended up with sunburn. It wouldn't be a vacation without one, right?

Today's Decisions:


- I will begin measuring major life goals in terms of the Olympics ("Oh, that's at least two winter Olympics away before I have to start worrying about buying a house," etc.)
- The early bird does get the metaphorical worm.
- Survivors of the Titanic would not find this shirt comical.
- I must have this coat.
- Zooey Deschanel's divorce is much more unfortunate than Kim Kardashian's.
