Almost White Christmas.

Getting snowed in at home is always bittersweet. The farm is beautiful when it snows and everything is covered for literally as far as we can see. The bitter part is knowing that our roads won't be cleared until at least a day after everyone else, leaving us stranded at our own house.

My grandma (who got Uggs for Chrismas) and I made lots of snow cream and watched my niece and nephew get involved in a snowball fight while my mom was trying to get a coat on our dog who bit her and then played dead until it was removed.

Glad the snow came but I'm also glad it's melting.

P.S. I'm running very behind on my December music selection- do you have any suggestions??

Winter Wedding

Julia & Meller
Me & Jilly Goat
5/9 of 121. Thanks for the pic, Meller!

Whoa, I didn't realize how long ago I'd abandoned the blog until I saw the date of the last post. A mixture of things contributed to the absence- namely end of semester portfolios, work, Christmas and the dial-up internet at my parent's house.

The weekend before Christmas, I ventured down to Georgia with Meller and Julia to see our other roommate Kara marry one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Bonus points for him because he looks like Minkus from Boy Meets World, even if he hates to admit it.

Kara is one of the most loving people I've ever known and her wedding was perfect. The reception was in the sweetest building in the historic district of Roswell, GA and the jazz band that played there kept everyone dancing!

Christmas cards.

I got my first Christmas card in the mail today from Elizabeth. Look at what she wrote inside. So simple. So thoughtful. So funny.

My friend Jasmine and I are trying out the library on campus tonight to get ourselves prepped for the massive amounts of work due in the next two weeks. Jasmine stopped by the coffee place in the library to get a drink and they were out of all things caffeinated and/or chocolate. She was disappointed, as you can imagine.

I only have two more classes left in the semester! How exciting is that?!
